Fans of the anime series No Game No Life are waiting for a second season because the end of the first is not a conclusion and a second season was quickly discussed. Unfortunately, there is no tangible news or a release date, but a lot of rumors about an NGNL sequel – we have summarized the current state of knowledge.
No Game No Life is based on a recent Japanese light novel series written by Yu Kamiya. The light novel was not only implemented as an anime but also as a manga. The animated series was produced by Madhouse under the direction of Atsuko Ishizuka and first aired in 2014.
The series has so far comprised 12 episodes and is an adaptation of the first three volumes of the novel series, the DVD & Blu-ray is now also available in Germany, but this is not necessarily cheap fun. It would of course be hoped that the really good series might soon make it to Netflix, which is gradually expanding its anime offering. But: Thanks to Clipfish, you, fortunately, have the opportunity to watch all episodes of No Game No Life in the free stream. However, experience has shown that you shouldn’t wait too long – otherwise the series will be gone again.
No Game No Life Season 2: When is the Second Season Coming?
We’re still waiting for an official confirmation from Madhouse for the second season, No Game No Life. Madhouse is known for not approving an extension for all series anyway, so the worry is growing every day that No Game No Life will not get any more episodes at the end despite the cliffhanger.
There may also be the problem that there were allegations of plagiarism concerning the drawings on the social platforms Twitter and Facebook, which should first be checked before a second season takes place. However, there are no official statements or conclusive assessments as to whether the artistic work has been stolen or borrowed.
In December 2015, the release of a second season was published on a Brazilian website (home of the light novel creator), but this message has not been officially confirmed either. At least one can now refute all the rumors that predicted the appearance of the second season NGNL in spring 2016.
It would be a great shame and loss if this series, which rightly met with so much fanfare, were not to get another extension. Accordingly, there is already a petition from fans, which is aimed at Madhouse and calls for another season. You can still sign – so far only a few have participated, probably because it will hardly be of any use.
As soon as there is news, we will update the article – of course, we hope for positive news!
